Theme It Out: Tropical Holiday

Posted on: December 8th, 2017

There’s nothing wrong with the classic Winter Wonderland themed holiday party but if you’re looking for something different, here’s another one of our unique holiday themes that we love!

Tropical Holiday: Can also be referred as holidays in Hawaii or Caribbean Christmas! In order to achieve these themes, you must first crank the heat! You’ll want to make the environment feel warm and tropical. Next you’ll want to plan your menu around the theme. If you’re doing a Caribbean Christmas, create a Caribbean dishes with rice, plantains, beans, and any of various meats such as poultry, pork or fish.

Don’t forget about the drinks! You can rent our frozen beverage machine and whip up some strawberry daiquiri and pina coladas!

Now to the decor… Tropical places such as Hawaii and the Caribbean are filled with bright colors. Incorporate these colors into your decor buy renting fun bright linens and napkins. Use white padded garden chairs instead of basic folding chairs or banquet hall chairs as they have a summer vibe to them.

Add some palm trees, beach balls and some metal drums and you have yourself a perfect tropical holiday party!

Looking for some holiday inspiration, look no further than our showroom! We have created 5 differently themed beautiful holiday tablescapes. We’re sure one of them will be perfect for your next holiday party!

The inspiration for our first holiday tablescape came from snow covered forests. We wanted to bring the outdoors in and we think we nailed it! We started with an army green tablecloth and paired it with a white table runner and olive napkins.

From there we piled up 2 different kinds of pine to create a beautiful fresh table runner. After that we stacked white birch branches.

We finished the table with our white chiavari chairs on one side and our farm bench with a faux fur blanket on the other side. We added in some glam with our silver charger plates, white coupe china and regency flatware.

Our next table was inspired by one of this seasons most popular patterns: PLAIDS! We started with a faux burlap table cloth and paired it with black and white buffalo plaid napkins.

To add a holiday feel, we added red and black buffalo plaid pillows and hung pine branches from the back of the chiavari bar stools.

Not a fan of the classic red and greens? Here’s a way to make neutral colors look festive! We started a tan tablecloth and added white chairs and white china. we then filled a bowl up with pine cones and cinnaminin sticks which don’t only look great but smell amazing!

When in doubt, go with metallics! Metallics don’t only match almost all decor but is always festive! The core of this tablescape was constructed with our beautiful farm table and gold chiavari chairs. We then glammed up the table with a champagne nova pintuck table runner, matching chair sashes and nova solid pewter napkins.

Our gold flatware and chargers gave the sparkle this table needed! We finished the table off with gold dipped candles and gold ornaments.

Tips and Hints to Planning a Successful Corporate Event

Posted on: December 2nd, 2017

Whether you’re planning a small corporate function for under 20 attendees or over 100, here are some easy tips and hints to make your corporate event a huge success.

Identify Goals and Budget: To start, you need to establish what your goals are. Are you trying to raise funds, launch a new product, or educated employees? Once you have a goal, you then can start working on the budget. (How many guests are you expecting? Can you host this event in house or do you need to move it to a venue? Will you be serving a meal or just little snacks? etc.)

Make a Plan and Make a Second Plan: Once you have a venue and all vendors in place, setup a walk through to plan everything from the setup to the breakdown. Once you have a game plan in place, take a second look at it. As we always say, plan for the worst and hope for the best! Go over the load in plan again and make sure you wont have any issues loading tables, chairs, bar, etc. into the space. In case of an emergency, know where the exits are and who you should contact.

Make it Social: We’re social creatures and we like to interact and show our friends what we’re doing. You can create custom hashtags or snapchat filters to get your guests to join in on the fun. Photo booths are also fun and interactive. You can make a back drop for the photo booth that has your logo on it. After your event is over, make share to share photos on your facebook page or blog!

Be Creative: Just because you’re planning a corporate event, doesn’t mean it has to be so corporate. If your goal is to educate your employees, make it a hands on experience.

Winter Wonderland Wedding Ideas

Posted on: December 1st, 2017

Dreaming of a white wedding? (Literally a white wedding with tons of snow?) If so, here’s so Winter Wonderland Wedding ideas we love!

Attire: The Bride can accessorize with a faux fur stole and don’t forget to keep your bridesmaids warm with pashminas. A velvet blazer for the Groom will be a chic accent piece!

Decor: Stick to rich, warm tones of berry reds, burgundy, and gold. Add some extra wintry romance with lots of greenery or even a few Christmas trees!

Atmosphere: Create a cozy setting for your guests with lots of candles or have the fireplace going. Get the illusion of falling snow with twinkle lights in a clear top tent.

Eats: Comfort foods are a must! Mini chicken pot pies or mac and cheese make great appetizers. A hot chocolate bar with mini bottles of baileys is the perfect way to keep your guests warm throughout the night!

Favors: What could be cuter than a mini Christmas tree to grow at home! Go for something sweet like a brownie mix jar or homemade mulled wine!
